* Pedestal & Feet: Supported by a massive, heavily carved central column featuring elegant acanthus leaf details, terminating in boldly sculpted claw/paw feet.
* Authenticity: Unmarked (typical for American workshops of the 1830s–1850s). The underside features the original heavy mounting block, hand-planed secondary woods, and period-correct flat-head slot screws.
Condition:
* Excellent Structural Integrity: Completely solid with absolutely zero wobble or looseness where the top meets the pedestal base (a rare find for a pedestal table of this age).
* Cosmetics: The wood surface boasts a rich, historic luster and even patina. There are a few minor cosmetic chips along the wood edges consistent with its 170+ year age, adding to its authentic character.
